Note: Kochijyan seems to be a Korean spice. The beans she was talking about her staff loving with beer is super hard to hear (she says it really fast) so I've had to leave out what it is exactly. Sorry!!

Good evening, this is Maaya Sakamoto! For the next 15 minutes please get together with ‘Chizu to Tegami to Koi no Uta’. Well, it’s already the middle of summer vacation. Everyone, are you making summer memories? Recently I haven’t really been having a lot of fun…I’m not really doing anything that’s summer-like. Fortunately I’m not really all tired out at all. I’m “doing my best”. How are you all doing recently?
A little while ago I talked about having my ‘debut’ with soumen noodles this year but strictly speaking I haven’t really eaten “Mentsuyu Soumen” at all yet. Not at all. I’m limited to “Soumen Champloo” right now…but it’s delicious, lots of different ingredients put all together and making it by putting in the vegetables as you want! Also, I think, recently we have no choice but to eat spicy things because it’s summer. The staff of this program came to the show after buying lots of this type of spicy bean and were talking about how it’s really fun to drink with beer. That also seems really tasty.
I really think summer is about beer! Even though I think that…recently I haven’t drunk at all. But you know, even if I go out it’s usually work and going out so I can’t usually make my own lunch so at the moment I’ve been eating a lot of Korean food, curry and things. By the way, something good I made recently, well I eat more than my fair share of Kochijyan and I pretty much put it in everything…Raddish and squid, prawns etc. anything is ok, well, squid and…what else, leek! Mixed with Kochijyan and soy sauce is really delicious! If you eat it with beer then it’s the best. Well, I didn’t have beer with it because I haven’t drunk lately, for the most part the days with no alcohol recently are increasing.
If possible I would really like you to tell me your delicious spicy recipes. Reading recipe books is also a lot of fun but I think that learning a recipe of someone else is the most enjoyable. Like, that if you ask for that person’s original recipes I think it’s pretty fun.
The hot days are going to continue for a while yet everyone, please eat a lot of good food and enjoy them.
